In May of 2008, the Malignant Hyperthermia Association of the United States, in conjunction with the Society of Pediatric Anesthesia, sponsored a symposium on malignant hyperthermia and associated myopathies.

Our panel of experts provided an overview of important issues that confront the periopertive anesthesia management of children with a variety of muscle disorders.
